Ryan’s instruction style expertly blends breath, movement, relaxation, and meditation into a cohesive whole that is a perfect foundation for transformational growth. Trained by master yoga instructor Edely Wallace, a disciple of the Sivananda lineage and founder of Lymphatic Yoga, Ryan brings a depth to the practice of Hatha Yoga that few other instructors achieve. His classes challenge with a playful dance of movement and mindfulness, flow and stillness, all while emphasizing proper posture and breath for maximum safety and effectiveness. He expertly interweaves both classical yoga philosophy and modern neuroscience into his instruction, enlightening the student both cognitively and energetically with the ancient wisdom of the practice. With a signature sense of humor which invites the inner child to come to the surface, you’ll leave the practice feeling rejuvenated and connected.
Ryan is also certified to instruct Laughter Yoga, a practice which uses the profound healing practice of laughter to promote inner joy and a connection with our innate playful nature. Psychologists have identified playfulness as a fundamental human need, and this practice invokes that playful spirit by removing the conditions around laughter. This means that a sense of humor is not a pre-requisite; anyone will find themselves laughing unconditionally, often to profound cathartic release. Laughter Yoga is an evidence-based practice which promotes healthy brain chemistry and melts away the self-judgement and fear which holds us back from being our authentic selves. This is a unique experience that cannot be missed.

Meditation
Meditation has been used by spiritual aspirants for centuries and is one of the oldest methods of transformational growth known to humankind. In recent years, meditation has been established as an evidence-based practice which, when practiced consistently, has profound neurological benefits. Meditation is now routinely prescribed by medical professionals to reduce stress and help alleviate symptoms of common mental health concerns such as depression, ADHD, or anxiety. Ryan has been practicing meditation for over 15 years and has been instructed in many forms of mindfulness meditation, drawing on spiritual traditions of Yoga and Buddhism, as well as evidence-based practices for nervous system regulation. He believes that having personalized instruction, is imperative to achieving a healthy and consistent practice.
Ryan will work with you and tailor a practice for you, one which can be the foundation of your transformational growth. While Ryan often incorporates meditation and visualization into his coaching, for those clients not ready to commit to a long-term coaching journey yet, meditation sessions are a great place to start. Meditation instruction can be undertaken on its own or combined with yoga instruction to create a deeper experience. Additionally, the sessions can be recorded, and upon request Ryan will create a custom meditation or visualization that you can keep for your daily practice.
